If your oiled parquet has become duller or greyer and does not show too many scratches, you may decide to clean it thoroughly and re-oil it. You can do this yourself.
However, if there are larger scratches, stains, colour differences and other blemishes, you might consider having the floor sanded and re-oiled. Sanding a floor is skilled work. If you have no experience with floor refurbishments, we recommended that you have this done by a parquet specialist.
For deep cleaning, we recommend Woca Intensive Cleaner. Next, the floor needs to be protected once again, which can best be done using Rubio Monocoat maintenance oil
Mix Woca Intensive Cleaner with cold water (at a ratio of 1:20, or 1:10 for a heavier job).
Apply with a mop without completely wringing out the mop. Work in 3 m² zones.
Clean thoroughly.
Remove loosened dirt immediately with a wringing mop or clean mop.
Mop the area again with clean water – the mop should not be too wet.
Remove excess water immediately with a wring mop or clean mop.
Mop with a dry mop.
Allow to dry.
Apply a maintenance oil that matches the colour of your parquet. Apply in 2 m² zones.
Remove excess residue immediately using a cotton cloth.
Observe the appropriate drying time of the maintenance oil (see packaging).
